She is powerless against herself

Surrounded by glass

All can see her, but all see through her

She feels nothing but surpassed

While she screams all they hear is laughter

They see her as free when she runs

As she drowns, they assume she is waving

It took all her strength not to succumb

She was carelessly broken, her fragments scattered

But in her shattered pieces she saw herself rise

She was stronger, older, happier, calmer

Someone she knew, someone wise.  Someone to love
